Ministries, central authorities in half month should report on employees' vaccination – Zelensky's conference call
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – All ministries and central authorities have to report in two weeks on the progress of vaccination against coronavirus (COVID-19) among their employees, while it is desirable that 70% of employees of departments be vaccinated with two doses.
According to the presidential website, this was discussed at a conference call on countering COVID-19 pandemic, chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the statement, some 84% of employees have already received two doses of vaccinations in the Defense Ministry, and 68% in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The head of state called this a good performance.
It is planned to achieve similar indicators among teachers. "Teachers are actively vaccinated. Already more than 70% of employees of educational institutions have been vaccinated," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said.
During the meeting, it was noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should propose a set of measures to combat counterfeiting of PCR tests and vaccination certificates against COVID-19, as well as to control the implementation of all necessary measures by Ukrainian and foreign citizens who enter Ukraine due to borders. The chief physicians of medical facilities where violations were recorded and travel agencies that facilitate the receipt of fake certificates and tests should be held accountable.
In Ukraine, 6.781 million people have already been vaccinated, of which 5.458 million received two doses. Over the past week, nearly 746,000 people were vaccinated, according to the statement.
