Military-political risk insurance fund to start working in late 2022 or early 2023 – Reintegration Ministry
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine predicts the launch of the Fund for insurance of military-political risks at the end of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023.
"We already have some progress in the issue of insurance of military-political risks, because this is an important aspect in context of the implementation of the Strategy for the Economic Development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions until 2030. Thus, in preparation for the visit of the President of Ukraine to the U.S., Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Reznikov had negotiations with a number of companies and organizations that are ready to join the process of creating the Consortium Fund. This fund, in fact, will be the operator for insuring these risks. During 2022, we set a goal to fill the fund by one third so that it can start work at the end of 2022 or in the beginning of 2023. This is a realistic time frame," the ministry’s press service said.
In addition, the department said that in the near future two bills that provide for the introduction of benefits for business entities in 15 territorial communities along the contact line in eastern Ukraine and in industrial parks will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. "According to optimistic forecasts, MPs can adopt it by the end of 2021, so that from 2022 the benefits will begin to operate," the message says.
Also, by the end of the year, it is planned to submit to the parliament a draft law on the replacement of part of the permitting and approval procedures with liability insurance of business entities.
