Military Media Center launches in Kyiv
KYIV. Aug 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Military Media Center has started working in Kyiv.
"The unified media platform, where all the communication capabilities of the defense and security forces of Ukraine are accumulated, will be Military Media Center, which began work on August 18 on the basis of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine," the Defense Ministry said.
"With the start of large-scale aggression, we faced information challenges that we had not before. However, we coped well with them and gained unique experience. Our goals today are to become the only voice of the security and defense forces. After all, we are together on all fronts, including the information one. We must become a reliable source of information in the field of defense. Together, cooperating and complementing each other, we will be able to give a more comprehensive picture of the events that are unfolding on the front," Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said at the presentation of the center.
According to her, the joint information work of the communication units of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine will ensure the promotion of a unified information policy to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The center will become a platform for interaction between representatives of the communication units of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service, the Interior Ministry, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service and the State Emergency Service, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, and Ukroboronprom concern.
Military Media Center will host briefings, press conferences with the participation of representatives of the security and defense structures of the state, discussion and expert panels dedicated to the defense of Ukraine.
