Metinvest's Zaporizhia enterprises pay some UAH 2.8 bln in taxes in Jan-Sept 2022
KYIV. Nov 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The enterprises of the Metinvest mining and metallurgical group owned by Rinat Akhmetov and Vadym Novinsky, located in Zaporizhia, transferred UAH 2.8 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine in January-September 2022.
According to the company’s information, amid reduced production caused by hostilities, Metinvest’s Zaporizhia enterprises are making a significant contribution to filling the national and local budgets of Ukraine. Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvohnetryv, Zaporizhkoks and Zaporizhia Casting and Mechanical Plant transferred about UAH 2.8 billion to the budgets of all levels over the first nine months of 2022. The largest contributions from Metinvest’s Zaporizhia enterprises to the state treasury come from income taxes, customs payments, as well as the payment of a single tax and a single social security contribution.
At the same time, despite the hostilities, Metinvest’s enterprises in Zaporizhia operate and remain the largest taxpayers in the region.
"We have focused our efforts on supporting the state, remaining a reliable pillar of Ukraine. After all, we are aware that the stability of the national economy today is a vital contribution to the victory of Ukraine and its further development," CEO of Zaporizhstal of the Metinvest group Oleksandr Myronenko said.
It is also reported that Zaporizhia enterprises of Metinvest paid almost UAH 650 million to local budgets in January-September 2022.
At the same time, it is recalled that in general, the Metinvest group, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred almost UAH 18 billion to the budgets of all levels over the first nine months of 2022.
