Metinvest declares $590 mln in dividends in July
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Metinvest B.V. (the Netherlands), the parent company of the international vertically integrated mining and metallurgical group Metinvest, declared $590 million in dividends on July 20, the company said in its semi-annual report on Wednesday.
According to it, in January-June of this year, Metinvest has already paid out $423 million in dividends to shareholders, while there were no such payments in the first half of last year.
The main shareholders of Metinvest are SCM Group (71.24%) and Smart Holding (23.76%), which jointly manage it.
According to the report, as of June 30 this year, loans issued to SCM and Smart at an effective rate of 9%, respectively, for $190 million and $84 million (six months earlier – $183 million and $101 million) were listed in the non-current assets section on Metinvest’s balance sheet.
In addition, in the section of current financial assets, hryvnia loans to them in the middle of this year totaled $45 million versus $43 million at the beginning of the year.
