Memorial plaque to Heroes of Heavenly Hundred, those who died in terrorist attack near Sports Palace opened in Kharkiv
KHARKIV. Sept 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Kharkiv, a memorial plaque with the names of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and those killed in the terrorist attack near the Palace of Sports was installed on the facade of the Church of St. John the Theologian.
"The memory of our heroes is extremely important. It is necessary that we and future generations know at what cost independence and freedom were obtained. It is also important today that Ukrainians unite, unite around a single church, around a single state," the press service quoted deputy head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Mykhailo Cherniak.
The memorial plaque was consecrated by the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphanius.
