Mayor of Brovary: According to updates, 16 people died, 24 taken to hospitals, eight of them to burn unit as result of Brovary helicopter crash
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Mayor of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko said according to updated information, as a result of a helicopter crash in the town on Wednesday morning, 16 people died, including three children, and 24 more were hospitalized.
"Some 24 people were taken to Brovary hospital, ten of them were children. Eight people were transported to the burn center, four of them were children. Some 16 people are now in our hospital, six of them are children," Sapozhko said in Telegram.
According to him, the wounded are in the trauma and surgical departments, one pregnant woman was hospitalized in the gynecological department.
"All the victims receive the necessary medical and psychological assistance," he said.
