Market of electric vehicles in March grows by 13% compared to Feb, share of new cars growing – Ukrautoprom
KYIV. April 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Primary registrations of electric vehicles in Ukraine in March grew by 13% compared to February of this year to 1,908 vehicles, while the demand for new ones increased by 27% to 525 vehicles, and for used ones by 8% to 1,383 vehicles, the Ukrautoprom association said on its Telegram channel.
“Thus, the share of new cars in BEV [Battery Electric Vehicles] registrations in March was 28% versus 24% in February,” the association said.
The top five new electric vehicles on the market in March were formed by Volkswagen ID.4 (149 vehicles), DongFeng/Honda M-NV (100 vehicles), Volkswagen ID.6 (28 vehicles), Honda e (24 vehicles) and DongFeng M5 EV (22 vehicles).
The Nissan Leaf (276 vehicles) dominated in the used vehicle segment, followed by the Volkswagen ID.4 (146 vehicles), Tesla Model 3 (137 vehicles), Tesla Model Y (114 vehicles) and Volkswagen e-Golf (89 vehicles).
