Lithuania to donate vests, belts to Ukrainian Armed Forces worth more than EUR 677,000 – media
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Lithuania is planning to donate vests and belts to the Ukrainian Armed Forces worth more than EUR 677,000, the Klaipeda Diena has reported.
According to the ezine, the Ministry of Defense has already prepared a corresponding draft government decree.
It is noted that the Ukrainian army will receive 490 body armor for EUR 617.801 and the same number of ballistic belts for EUR 59,290.
"The proposal came in response to a request from allies of the Ukrainian government to support its troops in the fight against Russian-backed separatists in the east of the country. Lithuania previously donated weapons and ammunition to the Ukrainian army," it said.
