Land bank of Kernel partners exceeds 100,000 ha – head of partner project
KYIV. Oct 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since its launch in August 2019, a total of 40 agricultural producers in 22 regions of Ukraine have benefited from the Open Agribusiness partner project launched by the Kernel agricultural holding, their total land bank exceeds 100,000 hectares, project manager Serhiy Viter said on Facebook on Monday.
"The project is growing steadily, we are getting closer to the goal of helping every agrarian in Ukraine to develop and earn steadily," he wrote on the social network.
As reported, the Open Agribusiness perpetual program allows agricultural producers to receive loans and participate in forward programs of the agricultural holding, buy inventory together with the agricultural holding, receive organizational and agronomic support, as well as financing for the purchase of land. A partner undertakes to supply Kernel with at least 80% of its harvest in return.
Earlier, Viter told Interfax-Ukraine about plans to increase the land bank of the partners in the partnership program to 500 thousand hectares by 2025. As of May 2021, participants with a total land bank of 70,000 hectares joined the project.
