L3Harris Technologies to manufacture $40 mln worth missile systems for Ukraine
KYIV. Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – L3Harris Technologies has received a contract from the Pentagon for the supply of 14 VAMPIRE multi-purpose weapons system for Ukraine, which will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine recognize enemy drones and protect civilian infrastructure.
As reported on the website of L3Harris Technologies, the contract cost is $40 million. The contract is for 2023.
"The portable VAMPIRE kit will allow Ukraine ground forces to target and shoot down enemy drones and defend against adversary ground threats. The systems ordered by DoD are tailored to provide critical defense assets to help Ukraine protect against attacks on civilian infrastructure," the company said in the press release.
