Kyrylo Tymoshenko: Initial task from president is to renovate housing in de-occupied settlements

KYIV. Sept 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The initial task set by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is the repair and restoration of housing in de-occupied settlements, deputy head of the presidential office Kyrylo Tymoshenko has said.

According to the press service of the head of state, Tymoshenko made the corresponding statement during a working trip to Kharkiv region, during which the deputy head of the President’s Office inspected the fortifications on a defense line, and also got acquainted with the construction of defensive structures and the restoration of critical infrastructure damaged as a result of Russian aggression in the village of Rohan.

It is noted that in the village, first of all, the repair of a boiler room, a lyceum, a kindergarten, an outpatient clinic, an office building and two high-rise buildings was financed.

"The initial task from the president is to repair housing in de-occupied settlements. Namely: to restore windows, roofs in those premises where this can be done quickly so that people can return to their private house or apartment," he said.

In addition, Tymoshenko also visited Lyceum No. 47 in Kharkiv, where two Russians missiles hit in early July.

"The building of the educational institution is almost completely destroyed and needs to be restored from scratch. For 30 years, the lyceum has been among the top five institutions in the region, and in the last five years it has taken pride of place among the hundred best schools in Ukraine. According to the results of the last academic year, 20 graduates of the lyceum scored 200 points according to the results of the external testing, six became medalists," the President’s Office emphasizes.

They add that the deputy head of the President’s Office in general "positively assessed the situation in Kharkiv and in the de-occupied territories of the region regarding the dynamics of the prompt restoration of vital infrastructure facilities damaged by the enemy."
