Kyivstar provides 50 branded stores with back-up power sources
KYIV. Feb 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyivstar, the largest mobile network operator in Ukraine, together with partners installed generators in 50 branded stores, in the coming months the number of stores with back-up power sources will reach 100, the operator’s press service reported.
"To date, the company has already invested more than UAH 350 million in providing the network of base stations with powerful batteries, as well as stationary and mobile diesel generators. More than UAH 5.5 million was provided to compensate our partners for the purchase of generators in stores to provide our customers with constant access to services," the press service quoted Head of B2C Regional Marketing & Sales at Kyivstar Mykhailo Mykoliuk.
As reported, Kyivstar invested more than UAH 50 million in the purchase of back-up power sources to support the Home Internet service, so that 10,000 homes and 90,000 subscribers remain connected even during a power outage.
Kyivstar’s shareholder is the VEON international group headquartered in the Netherlands. The group’s shares are listed on the NASDAQ (New York) and Euronext (Amsterdam) stock exchanges.
