Kyivstar network operates, problems with power supply
KYIV. Oct 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Kyivstar mobile network operator continues to operate, despite the difficulties with power supply that arise in different regions of Ukraine.
Kyivstar uses all technical capabilities, including autonomous power supply for base stations, to meet the needs of subscribers in communication services as much as possible. We look forward to a speedy restoration of a stable power supply," Iryna Lelichenko, a leading public relations specialist, wrote on her Facebook page.
The operator also asks subscribers to use mobile phones only when necessary, so as not to overload communication channels.
The infrastructure of JSC Ukrtelecom continues operating to ensure communications in the country.
Critical infrastructure in Khmelnytsky, Lviv, Poltava regions, Kharkiv and Zhytomyr is provided using satellite communications.
