Kyivstar agrees on partnership with Helsi, its reprs to be included in supervisory board of e-medicine provider
KYIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Kyivstar mobile operator has signed a partnership agreement with the Helsi electronic medicine provider, the operator said on Tuesday.
"By signing an agreement with Helsi, we are investing in the development of Ukraine’s digital healthcare ecosystem. We see great potential in the development of new and existing digital products and stake on leadership in the eHealth industry. Kyivstar’s goal is to expand the business and invest a significant amount over the next three years within the framework of this partnership, contributing to the creation of new jobs and facilitating access to socially important services for all Ukrainians," said Kyivstar President Oleksandr Komarov.
The purpose of the agreement is to combine Kyivstar’s expertise as an electronic communications operator in the digitalization of mobile and fixed communications for subscribers and business clients, as well as Helsi’s digital experience for patients and business clients in the field of healthcare.
Kyivstar emphasized that such an investment is in line with the strategy for the formation of a digital operator and will allow the rapid development of innovative areas in the field of digital medical services, as well as faster satisfaction of the needs of the patient and doctor in electronic services.
"Kyivstar had a positive experience of cooperation with Helsi, we believe in the team that remains in business management and will continue to work in a new format. There are plans to create a separate supervisory board of Helsi, which will also include representatives of the management and the board of directors of Kyivstar. We will tighten the existing digital service, scale the number of users, simplify the customer experience with medical services and make a healthy lifestyle a trend in the country," Zoya Dronshkevych, the director for corporate strategy at Kyivstar, said.
For its part, Helsi plans to expand the team and double the number of jobs, emphasized Yevhen Donets, the CEO of Helsi.
"Thanks to the Kyivstar mobile operator, digital medical services provided within the Helsi.me electronic system have already become more accessible to the population. Now subscribers of all mobile operators can receive an unlimited number of medical consultations for free, which will become a significant support for the population," Kyivstar emphasized.
Helsi is a medical information system and a leading digital healthcare provider in Ukraine. The company has been operating on the market for six years, has more than 23 million patients, and is known as a provider of SaaS medical information system solutions for 1,300 public and private clinics.
