Kyivsky paper mill slightly reduces production volume in Jan
KYIV. Feb 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of output of Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), the leader of the Ukrainian industry in this indicator, amounted to UAH 625.54 million in January, which is 6.4% less than the same indicator in pre-war January 2022.
According to the statistics of the Ukrpapir association, provided to Interfax-Ukraine, in quantity terms, production of corrugated packaging at the plant increased by 9.3%, to 17.12 million square meters.
At the same time, production of cardboard decreased by 7.6%, to 16,470 tonnes, including container board production increased by 15.6%, to 14,000 tonnes, while boxboard production decreased by 2.3 times, to 2,500 tonnes.
Significantly – more than twice, to 3,600 tonnes – production of base paper for sanitary and hygienic products was reduced, while production of toilet paper in rolls decreased by half, to 16.6 million pieces.
According to the statistics of the profile association received from industry enterprises, in January of this year they produced 48,080 tonnes of paper and cardboard – 24% less than in pre-war January 2022, and 39.33 million square meters of cardboard boxes – by 18.2% less.
Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill is one of the largest enterprises in Europe for production of cardboard and paper products with a staff of about 2,500 people.
