Kyivsky cardboard paper mill keeps slight decline in production volumes in Jan-July
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of commercial output of the Kyivsky cardboard paper mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), the leader of the Ukrainian industry in this indicator, in January-July 2022 amounted to UAH 3.848 billion, which is 5.2% less than for the same period in 2021.
According to the statistics of the UkrPapir association, provided to Interfax-Ukraine, in kind, the output of all types of products of the plant showed a significant decrease, in particular, the base paper for sanitary and hygienic products by 29.6%, to almost 35,000 tonnes, corrugated boxes by 26.8%, to 101.7 million square meters.
The output of cardboard decreased 38%, to 82,480 tonnes, including container (including corrugated paper) by 22%, to 63,000 tonnes, and boxboard by 2.7 times, to 19,480 tonnes.
At the same time, in July the plant reduced the output of corrugated boxes by 15%, to 18.68 million square meters, paper and cardboard by 38%, to 17,060 tonnes.
Production of toilet paper in rolls in January-July 2022 decreased by 21%, to 195.51 million pieces. According to the association, in general, the production of these products by industry enterprises decreased by 16.5%, to 340 million units.
As reported, with the outbreak of war, Kyivsky cardboard paper mill, like almost all enterprises in the industry, suspended work, but in March resumed production.
According to the statistics of UkrPapir, in January-July, taking into account the fact that a number of industry enterprises were either destroyed, damaged or located in the occupied territory, the production of paper and cardboard decreased by 46% compared to the same period last year, to 286,600 tonnes, corrugated packaging by 42.8%, to 242.4 million square meters.
