Kyivsky cardboard mill plans to invest up to EUR 20 mln in new production facility in Verkhniodniprovsk
KYIV. Sept 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kyivsky cardboard paper mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), the leader in the pulp and paper industry in sales, intends to invest up to EUR 20 million in the development of a new industrial site in Verkhniodniprovsk (Dnipropetrovsk region), which will be mastered in several stages, the enterprise has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Currently, tenders are being held for the supply of equipment, in particular, the mill signed a contract with the largest manufacturer of corrugated machines BHS Corrugated for the supply of the VALUE Line corrugator for the production of five-layer corrugated cardboard.
According to the information of the plant, such a unit will be installed for the first time at a pulp and paper mill in Ukraine.
Also suppliers of equipment for the production of complex die-cutting and spot gluing packaging are being selected.
The expected production capacity of the new enterprise is up to 15 million square meters of corrugated packaging per month.
The company said that the products of the new production site will be focused on the domestic market and local customers of the region: Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kryvy Rih, Kharkiv regions, as well as the south of Ukraine. Export of products is not planned.
As reported, the mill plans to start production of corrugated board products at the new industrial site, which previously belonged to the Verkhniodniprovsk powerful radio engineering plant, in the first quarter of next year.
