Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill keeps slight decline in production volumes in Jan-Aug
KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of commercial output of the Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill (Obukhiv, Kyiv region), the leader of the Ukrainian industry in this indicator, in January-August 2022 amounted to UAH 4.532 billion, which is 4.3% less than for the same period in 2021.
According to the statistics of the UkrPapir association, provided to Interfax-Ukraine, thus the plant keeps a slight backlog from last year’s indicators (according to the results of the first seven months it was 5.2%, six 3.2%).
According to the association, in kind, the output of all types of products of the plant shows a more significant decrease, in particular, base paper for sanitary and hygienic products by 30.4%, to 39,700 tonnes, corrugated boxes by 26.3%, to 118.7 million square meters.
The output of cardboard dropped by 34.7%, to 100,500 tonnes, including container (including corrugated paper) by 16.5%, to 78,000 tonnes, and boxboard by 63%, to 22,500 tonnes.
Production of toilet paper in rolls in the first eight months fell by 19.8%, to 221.56 million pieces. According to the association, in general, the production of these products by industry enterprises plunged by 16.3%, to 383.54 million units.
According to the statistics of UkrPapir, in January-August, taking into account the fact that a number of industry enterprises were either destroyed, damaged or located in the occupied territory, the production of paper and cardboard fell by 43.2% compared to the same period last year, to 336,700 tonnes, corrugated packaging – by 42.2%, to 282.3 million square meters.
Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill is one of the largest enterprises in Europe for the production of cardboard and paper products with about 2,200 employees.
