Kyiv should resist temptation to use law against such political opponents like Poroshenko – ex-NATO Secretary General
KYIV. Jan 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine needs internal unity, former NATO Secretary General (2009-2014), ex-Prime Minister of Denmark (2001-2009) Anders Fogh Rasmussen said, pointing out the inappropriateness of the persecution of the fifth president of Ukraine (2014-19), leader of the European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko.
“The free world must unite to defend Ukraine. But Ukraine also needs internal unity and strength. Kyiv should uphold the rule of law, but resist the temptation to weaponize it against political opponents like Poroshenko,” Rasmussen wrote on Twitter Sunday.
