Kyiv Post's dismissed team launches new media, editorial office to be headed by ex-dpty editor-in-chief Rudenko
KYIV. Nov 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The dismissed team of the English-language Ukrainian edition of Kyiv Post is launching a new media outlet, headed by former deputy editor-in-chief Olha Rudenko.
"We are moving to launch a new media outlet with 30 former employees of Kyiv Post to continue our business. The independent Kyiv Post may disappear, but its team is united and committed to continue serving you, our community. We are pleased to announce that our editorial team will be led by Olha Rudenko, a former deputy editor-in-chief of Kyiv Post, who has dedicated ten years to the brand. She will take on the role of editor-in-chief of the new publication," the Kyiv Post editorial team said in a post dedicated to the situation with this media, published on the website.
According to the statement Jnomics Media, a media consulting company based in London and Kyiv, will be responsible for the business aspects of the new project.
"The founders of Jnomics are former employees of Kyiv Post Yakub Parusinsky and Daryna Shevchenko. They will take the posts of financial and chief executive officer, respectively," the Kyiv Post former employees said.
The project team is currently working on establishing a legal entity, outlining a strategy and forging partnerships with the community.
In addition, the Kyiv Post former employees announced the launch of the first editorial product – the mailing list.
