Kyiv city council supports appeal to prevent seizure of land in capital
KYIV. Sept 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputies of the Kyiv City Council supported the appeal to law enforcement officers regarding the illegal change of the capital border in favor of the region.
According to the press service of mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klitschko, the corresponding appeal to the Kyiv Regional Council, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the NABU, the SBI Main Directorate in Kyiv and the territorial department of the SBI were supported by 88 deputies.
According to the mayor, the land grab is taking place on a large scale and with the "tacit assistance" of the StateGeoCadastre officials.
So, by the decision of the Kyiv Regional Council of September 9 this year, a planning scheme for the territory of Kyiv region was approved, with the expansion of the territory of the region. In particular, the borders of Kotsiubynske village at the expense of the Holosiivsky National Natural Park, which contradicts the approved boundaries of the city of Kyiv.
"The Department of Land Resources has already sent relevant reports about the crime to the State Bureau of Investigations, NABU, State Security Service. And the mayor of Kyiv personally appealed to officials of Kyiv region, the StateGeoCadastre and law enforcement agencies with a demand to prevent violations of the rights of the territorial community of the city of Kyiv," the message says.
