Kuleba thanks all states, institutions that announce new assistance to restore Ukraine's energy system
KYIV. Jan 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, following a G7+ Ministerial Meeting, thanked all states and institutions that have announced new practical assistance to restore Ukraine’s energy system.
"I thank U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and my Japanese counterpart Minister [Yoshimas] Hayashi for inviting me to take part in today’s G7+ ministerial. I am grateful to all states and institutions which announced new practical assistance to restore Ukraine’s energy system damaged by Russian strikes," he said on Twitter on Tuesday.
There are three major ways to address the challenge of Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy grid, Kuleba said.
"1) providing more air defense systems to Ukraine; 2) more equipment to restore the grid, which was the focus of today’s meeting; 3) severe sanctions on Russia’s missile industry," the Ukrainian minister said.
