Kuleba says Zelensky's speech at 76th UNGA session was one of the strongest

KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The speech of President Volodymyr Zelensky, delivered during the 76th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), allowed Ukraine to convey signals to the world and enlist support in strengthening the country’s energy security, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has said.

"The UN is a format where countries communicate their signals. The President was very clear in conveying Ukraine’s position. His speech made an impression. I can say without exaggeration that it was one of the most powerful speeches of this UN General Assembly. And this is recognized by our colleagues, foreign diplomats," the press service of the Foreign Ministry quoted Kuleba as saying when speaking on the air of the TSN. Kuleba spoke about three bilateral meetings of Zelensky in New York that are important in relation to the threats of Nord Stream 2, and also about strengthening the energy security of Ukraine. In particular, about the meeting with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The topic of Nord Stream 2 was heard in various contexts at all these meetings. I am pleased with what we heard from the interlocutors on counteracting Nord Stream 2: both from the European side and from the British side. I am also pleased with Turkey’s signals on cooperation with Ukraine in the field of energy, which will contribute to strengthening the energy security of our state," Kuleba said.
