Kuleba: Russia commits genocide, must be held to account
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has welcomed the resolution of the European Parliament on human rights violations, forced deportation of Ukrainians and forced adoption of Ukrainian children in Russia, and emphasized that Russian commits genocide and must be held to account.
"I welcome the European Parliament’s resolution on human rights violations, forced deportation of Ukrainians and forced adoption of Ukrainian children in Russia. It clearly states that the latter is a violation of the UN Genocide Convention. Russia commits genocide and must be held to account," he said on Twitter on Friday.
As reported, on September 15, the European Parliament adopted the resolution in which it urged Russia to stop forced deportation and forced displacement of Ukrainian citizens to Russia and the territories occupied by Russia, as well as condemned the atrocities committed by the Russian Armed Forces, their authorized representatives and various occupation authorities in Ukraine.
