Kuleba, Rheinmetall CEO discuss modernization of Ukrainian equipment, increase in further production
KYIV. Feb 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba discussed with Head of the German defense concern Rheinmetall AG Armin Papperger the possibility of expanding production, as well as a project to modernize Ukrainian armored vehicles.
“I met with Rheinmetall AG CEO Armin Papperger to focus on ways to increase production for Ukraine and allies. We also discussed large projects to boost Ukraine’s tank and armoured vehicles capabilities, both short-term and long-term. Rheinmetall is ready to ramp up engagement,” Kuleba said in Twitter on Saturday.
According to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Rheinmetall “is ready to intensify cooperation.”
