Kuleba outlines four key tasks of Foreign Ministry in cultural diplomacy
KYIV. Sept 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Defending cultural and informational sovereignty, as well as building confidence in Ukraine are among the key tasks of the Foreign Ministry in the field of cultural diplomacy, said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, he said this on Thursday at the II International Forum of Cultural Diplomacy, organized by the Ukrainian Institute in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Among the key tasks in the field of cultural diplomacy, the minister also named the popularization of the added value that Ukraine creates for peace and the spread of awareness of Ukraine as a country of new opportunities.
He noted that systematic work to change the perception of Ukraine in the world, the formation and promotion of a positive national brand by means of "soft power" are included in the top six priorities of the Strategy of Ukraine’s foreign policy.
"The reputation of Ukraine and its positive recognition abroad in the conditions of hybrid wars is a guarantee of the security of our state," Kuleba summed up.
The topic of the current forum was the role and possibilities of cultural diplomacy in solving common global problems of our time, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
