Kuleba on Russia's demand to NATO not to expand eastward: Ukraine need not guarantee anything to Russia
KYIV. Dec 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine has not to guarantee anything to Russia, it is Russia that has to guarantee that it will not continue its aggression against any country, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said.
"It is Russia who was been pushing boundaries, and it is Russia who was violating international law. I reject the idea that we have to guarantee anything to Russia. It is Russia who has to guarantee it will not continue its aggression against any country," Kuleba told AFP in Stockholm on Friday.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia would insist "on the development of specific agreements excluding any further NATO advance to the east and the deployment of weapons systems that threaten us directly next to the Russian territory."
