Kuleba, Israeli FM Lapid discuss participation of Israeli delegation in events dedicated to 80th anniversary of Babyn Yar tragedy – MFA

KYIV. Aug 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, in a telephone conversation with Alternative Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Yair Lapid, discussed the participation of the Israeli delegation in commemorative events for the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy and the trip of citizens in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foreign Ministry said.

"The heads of Ukrainian and Israeli diplomacy noted with pleasure the intensive political dialogue between Ukraine and Israel and discussed the exchange of visits of the highest and high level in the near future, including the participation of the Israeli delegation in commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy," the message released by the press service of the ministry on Thursday evening reads.

It is noted that Kuleba told Lapid about the results of the constituent summit of the Crimean platform held in Kyiv on August 23.

A separate topic of conversation was the travel of citizens in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Foreign Ministry recalled that at the end of 2020, the volume of bilateral trade in goods and services amounted to $907.3 million. The positive balance of foreign trade in goods and services for Ukraine with Israel in the past amounted to $513.1 million.
