Kuleba expresses condolences over plane crash in Tanzania
KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the plane crash in Tanzania and wished a speedy recovery to the victims.
"Tragic plane crash in Tanzania. My deepest sympathy is with the close ones of the victims and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Even while facing our own suffering, Ukraine shares Tanzania’s grief," Kuleba said on Twitter on Monday.
A Tanzanian ATR 42-500 passenger plane crashed into Lake Victoria, killing 19 people, according to CNN. It is noted that 24 people were saved. CNN said there were 39 passengers and four crew members on board, the plane took off from the city of Dar es Salaam and was heading for the city of Bukoba, but crashed into Lake Victoria, preparing to land.
