Kuleba arrives in The Hague, meets with Dutch counterpart, takes part in hearings of Dutch Parliament on Ukraine's support

KYIV. Feb 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba arrived on Tuesday in The Hague, at the House of Representatives of General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where he took part in a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

“Today, the Russians fired at a transport stop and a kindergarten in Kherson. It had no military purpose for them. The only reason why Russia shells Kherson every day is an act of revenge for the resistance of Kherson people and the de-occupation of the city. This is terror against civilians. It can only be stopped by force, so we need further support from the Netherlands,” the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said, citing Kuleba.

The minister noted the need to supply Ukraine with combat aircraft and to start training Ukrainian pilots as soon as possible. He also urged MPs to continue supporting Ukraine on the path to EU membership.

Kuleba also thanked Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his colleague Wopke Hoekstra for their leadership and critical decision-making.

Kuleba also held a separate meeting with the heads of the coalition and opposition parliamentary factions.

The department said the head of the Foreign Ministry took part in the opening of the plenary debate on supporting Ukraine. Kuleba is also scheduled to hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
