Kuchma, Special Rep of OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine meet in Kyiv
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In Kyiv, the second President of Ukraine (1994-2005) Leonid Kuchma met with Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and the Trilateral Contact Group Mikko Kinnunen, the sides discussed the Minsk agreements implementation.
"The meeting took place on the initiative of Ambassador Kinunnen. Leonid Kuchma congratulated Mr. Ambassador on the beginning of his work in Ukraine and in the TCG and wished him success in restoring peace in our country. The conversation focused on the progress of the Minsk agreements implementation," Kuchma’s press secretary Darka Olifer said on her Facebook page.
Thus, Kuchma stressed the priority of the security bloc implementation: a full ceasefire, the withdrawal of foreign armed formations and equipment from the territory of Ukraine, and the restoration of control over the border by Ukraine.
