Kremlin says ready to discuss direct gas purchases with Ukraine
MOSCOW. Sept 28 (Interfax) – Russia is ready to discuss with Kyiv the resumption of direct Russian gas purchases by Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Of course. No one has declined the option. What is more, the readiness to discuss the issue has been repeatedly expressed by representatives of our gas monopoly entity and representatives of the Russian side on various levels," Peskov told reporters in response to a question whether Ukraine might resume direct purchases of Russian gas if necessary.
