KMZ Industries builds and launches granary in Lviv region

KYIV. May 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – KMZ Industries (Karlivka Machine Building Plant, KMZ, Poltava region) has installed and put into operation a farm elevator with a capacity of 3,000 tonnes of agricultural products, the granary has become the company’s first launched production facility since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

"In the first stage of the facility, two flat-base silos [each 14 m in diameter] and transport equipment [elevators, chain scraper conveyors with a capacity of 100 tonnes per hour] will be operated. The length of the transport route is 123 m," the company said on Facebook on Friday.

KMZ specified that under the contract with the customer, it manufactured and installed elevator equipment, connected it to the power grid and introduced an automated control system.

"Last week, the company’s employees conducted elevator personnel training, as well as commissioning. Such equipment operation trainings are mandatory in every project when KMZ Industries assembles and automates its own products. They help the customer avoid unnecessary costs associated with errors in work and possible negative consequences," the manufacturer summed up.

KMZ Industries produces flat-base silos, hopper bottom silos, flour storage silos, Brice-Baker mine grain dryers (British design) and grain dryers of Ukrainian design, transport equipment (elevators, chain, belt and screw conveyors), separators for grain cleaning, installs and automates elevator equipment and technological processes at granaries.
