KMZ Industries building elevator for 25,000 tonnes in Ternopil region
KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – KMZ Industries (Karlivka Machine Building Plant, KMZ, Poltava region) is building an elevator complex in Ternopil region, designed for simultaneous storage of up to 25,000 tonnes of agricultural crops, now the installation of two granaries with a capacity of 10,680 tonnes is being completed, the company said on Facebook.
"In Ternopil region, the first two out of five cone silos planned by the project have already grown to their full height. Soon we will start lifting the first of the two silos with a diameter of 27.5 meters: the roof is almost ready. In general, a complex with a capacity of 25,000 tonnes of storage will be built," the company said.
According to KMZ Industries, the entire elevator complex consists of seven storage tanks for grain: the two above-mentioned silos on a flat base with a diameter of 27 meters (with a capacity of 10,680 tonnes each), two hopper tanks with a diameter of 11 meters (1,670 tonnes each), as well as three conical silos with a diameter of 5.5 meters (with a capacity of about 100 tonnes each).
It is specified that the delivery of grain to the complex will be provided by six transport elevators, as well as scraper chain conveyors with a capacity of 175 tonnes/hour and 250 tonnes/hour. The total length of their logistic route is 680 meters.
KMZ Industries manufactures silos on a flat base, with a conical bottom, silos for storing flour, Brice-Baker mine grain dryers (British design) and particle board (Ukrainian design), transport equipment (bucket elevators, chain, belt and screw conveyors), separators for grain cleaning, assembles and automates elevator equipment and technological processes at granaries.
