Klitschko continues to lead rating of candidates for Kyiv Mayor – poll
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Incumbent Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko continues to lead the rating of candidates for the position of the capital’s mayor for the next election, according to the poll entitled "Socio-Political and Socio-Economic Situation in Kyiv" conducted by the Center for Applied Research by order of the Center for the Development of Cities.
Asked whom they would elect as Kyiv mayor if the voting day was scheduled for next Sunday, more than a half of respondents among those who have made their choice – 56.4% – said they would vote for Klitschko.
Some 23.8% of voters among those who have decided on their candidate said they would elect the leader of the August 24 Party, Serhiy Prytula. Representative of the Servant of the People Party, Olena Zelenska, came third with 6.3% of votes.
Thus, Klitschko is almost three times ahead of his closest competitor.
The poll was conducted on August 10-23, 2022 via the F2F survey method using tablets among 1,017 Kyiv residents aged 18 and older. The theoretical error does not exceed 3.1%.
