Kievguma expands range of products with shoe soles

KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kievguma LLC (Brovary), a manufacturer of rubber and medical products, which resumed work in May, has begun producing shoe soles as part of expanding the range of products, the company has reported on its website.

"Despite all the circumstances (war, almost complete shutdown of the economy, lack of investment, etc.), our company continues to live. At the request of our partners, who continued to work despite everything, we have already produced the first batch of a new product – shoes," the company said without specifying the customer.

The specialists of the design department, the tool shop and the Kievguma laboratory designed and manufactured the necessary molds and developed the mixture formula.

According to the company’s information, in summer Kyivguma’s assortment was also replenished with a pipe for creating drip irrigation systems, which is used for root irrigation and fertilization in open ground and in greenhouses, as well as for watering seedlings and flowers in pots.

The leader in the market of rubber products in Ukraine Kyivguma was founded in 1930. In 2013, production facilities were planned to be moved from Kyiv to a new production site in Brovary.

As reported, Kievguma, due to the change in needs and lack of demand for a number of products since the beginning of the war, has focused its efforts on the production of mass products that are now in demand.

The company’s website said that Kievguma recently completed registration in the European database of manufacturers of medical devices (EUDAMED).

"A significant segment of our product range is medical products. Among many countries, Kievguma imports its own products to EU member states, and with the entry into force of the new regulation in these countries, our company has also begun the registration procedure as a manufacturer of medical products in the EU," the company said.
