KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kharkiv city organization of the Kernes Bloc – Successful Kharkiv party nominated secretary of the city council, acting mayor Ihor Terekhov as a candidate for the position of mayor at a conference on Saturday.
"Ihor Oleksandrovych, I think that Hennadiy Adolfovych [Kernes] wanted this. It’s time to get rid of the prefix acting. Move forward. We will support you," son of deceased Kharkiv mayor Hennadiy Kernes, Kyrylo, said speaking at the conference.
The conference participants supported Terekhov’s candidacy unanimously.
