Kazakhstan's industrial output grows 2.7% in seven months
NUR-SULTAN. Aug 15 (Interfax) – Kazakhstan’s industrial output grew 2.7% year-on-year in January-July 2022, the National Statistics Bureau said.
Output grew most of all in the construction sector, by 9.2%, transport and logistics 6.2%, wholesale and retail trade 6.2%, manufacturing 5.8% and mineral extraction 1.9%.
Industrial output came to 28.085 trillion tenge, of which 14.957 trillion tenge or 53.2% of the total for mineral extraction and 11.597 trillion tenge or 41.3% for manufacturing.
There were marked gains in output of beverages, by 9.1%, tobacco goods 16.7%, chemical goods 10.6% and metallurgical goods 5.3%.
