Kazakhstan to continue grain deliveries to Afghanistan
NUR-SULTAN. Sept 21 (Interfax) – Kazakhstan will continue supplying flour and wheat to Afghanistan in the 2021-2022 marketing year, Kazakh Agriculture Minister Yerbol Karashukeyev said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
"In the new season, the main deliveries of Kazakh flour and grain will be made to traditional markets such as countries of Central Asia, Iran and Afghanistan. Thanks to the high quality of grain, wheat shipments to China may also be increased," Karashukeyev said.
The Agriculture Ministry earlier estimated Kazakhstan’s export potential in the new agricultural year at 6.5 million-7 million of tonnes of grain crops.
