Justice Ministry transfers three correctional facilities to State Property Fund for privatization
KYIV. Sept 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has transferred to the balance of the State Property Fund (SPF) three correctional facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn and Mykolaiv regions for sale at auctions.
"We handed over another three prisons to the SPF for sale at an auction. We expect new auctions in the fall," Justice Minister Denys Maliuska wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
According to him, Kovel correctional colony, located on a land plot with an area of 4.86 hectares, with a starting price of UAH 41.6 million will be put up for sale, along with Ivano-Frankivsk penitentiary institution No. 12 (67.4 hectares) in Trostianets village with a starting price of UAH 7.8 million; Mykolaiv correctional colony No. 50 (15.5 hectares) in the village of Derzhev with a starting price of UAH 17.1 million.
As reported, Yuzhne Correctional Colony No. 51 in Odesa for UAH 223 million, as well as Irpen Correctional Center No. 132 for UAH 220 million, were put up for sale.
