Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor promises to dismiss employees of city executive committee not vaccinated without good reason
KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinkiv announced the need to fully vaccinate against coronavirus employees of the city’s executive committee, due to this he gave them two weeks for immunization, after which he promised to fire everyone who was not vaccinated for no good reason.
The corresponding statement was made by Martsinkiv on Facebook on Tuesday.
"Employees of the executive committee of the City Council must be 100% vaccinated! The only ‘excuse’ is when a doctor confirms contraindications and writes out a certificate on it. Like it or not, we are an example for everyone. If you don’t want to get vaccinated – write a letter of resignation. Otherwise, there will be no bonuses and staff reductions […] I give two weeks," Martsinkiv wrote.
As reported, in early August, mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov, said that in order not to lose their jobs, all unvaccinated employees of utilities and the city council would have to regularly provide a negative PCR test for coronavirus.
"Now all my subordinates are obliged to be vaccinated, and if they do not want to, then they should provide a certificate of negative PCR for their money every week (as in the New York City Hall). Or they quit," the mayor of Dnipro said.
