It’s incorrect to pretend that you know nothing about attacks of Russian drones on Kyiv – Ukrainian MFA in response to China
KYIV. Oct 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Pretending that nothing is happening when the whole world is talking about it is incorrect, said spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko, commenting on the words of Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin that he knows nothing about the attack of Russian drones on Kyiv.
"It is incorrect to pretend that nothing is happening when the whole world is talking about it. We expect a more proactive role of China as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. There can be no compromises or political nuances when it comes to condemning barbaric crimes against the civilian population," Nikolenko wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
He drew attention to the fact that the Chinese ambassador is in Ukraine.
"It is difficult for me to imagine that the Chinese ambassador, who is in Ukraine, does not inform his government about the attacks on the Ukrainian capital. Our embassy in Beijing also regularly sends information to the Chinese Foreign Ministry about Russia’s crimes in Ukraine," Nikolenko said.
