It will be necessary to answer for crimes – Zelenskyy about Putin
KYIV. Feb 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian Leader Vladimir Putin needs to answer in court, before the law, for crimes against Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
“Of course, the main thing is to bring the cause of justice to an end. This is not possible, killing such a large number of people, first of all, the civilian population. And it is impossible to finish without an answer, as put forward in some political proposals – let’s find a way out of the situation. What does exit mean? What happened when so many people were killed, this is the leader of the Russian Federation, the leader of a large country, and they should be responsible, ” Zelenskyy said at a press conference entitled “February. The Year of Invincibility” on Friday.
The Head of State stressed that “this is not a child who can be forgiven for something.”
“Then comes another age when you need to answer for a crime. To answer before the law, before the court,” Zelenskyy said.
The President stressed that such a number of Ukrainians killed is a tragedy, and it must be answered for.
