Israel's GreenMix ready to invest in plant for green processing of construction waste
KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Israeli company GreenMix is ready to join the dismantling of high-rise buildings destroyed during the hostilities in the suburbs of Kyiv and invest in the construction of a plant for the green processing of construction waste.
According to Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba on the Telegram channel on Sunday following a meeting with investors, Kyiv region is ready to be the first platform in Ukraine and become an exemplary case for other regions of Ukraine in dismantling, recycling and recycling construction waste.
"This is a very important project. After all, every day we are fighting the consequences of Russia’s military aggression in our Kyiv region. In particular, we remove hundreds of tonnes of construction waste from the yards of destroyed houses. It is important for us not only to organize the recycling process, but also to recycle construction waste in accordance with high standards environmental friendliness. Therefore, this project is an investment in the future of the new Kyiv region," Kuleba wrote.
According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration, more than 2 million tonnes of construction debris have been accumulated as a result of destruction in the Bucha territorial community alone. The problem of the ongoing destruction of damaged multi-storey buildings is acute. To date, the inspection and documentation of damage to about 90% of such buildings has been completed, and in the near future Kyiv Regional Military Administration is planning an implementation phase for their dismantling.
As GreenMix told Interfax-Ukraine, the company offered its experience and a set of technologies that will help to effectively solve the issue of dismantling damaged multi-storey buildings. For example, in the company’s park there are demollators designed for houses above 10 floors. The package of works involves further recycling and environmental processing of construction waste into new building materials that can be used to rebuild the affected cities.
"I personally and the GreenMix team that arrived with me in Ukraine are amazed at the scale of destruction as a result of the aggression of this terrible war of Russia against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. We are already working with our Ukrainian colleagues on a roadmap for the implementation of the project, the supply of all necessary equipment at our own expense, and we are considering how the first step, the organization of these works for Kyiv region," the founder of GreenMix Zvika David said.
Since 1989, the innovative GreenMix group of companies has focused its activities in the field of building demolition, construction waste management and the creation of plants for the processing of construction waste into quality building materials with high environmental friendliness (green building materials) and economic value (circular economy).
