Irpin Recovery Fund launches fundraiser on Patreon platform
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The page of charitable donations for the reconstruction of the city of Irpin (Kyiv region) after the destruction caused by the Russian invasion in February-May 2022 has been opened on the U.S. Internet platform Patreon, which allows producers of various content to distribute it among subscribers for a regular fee.
"Before the war, Irpin was the best city in Ukraine. Now, you are doing everything to make Irpin an example of development and European comfort! Irpin has become an outpost along the enemy’s path to the occupation of the capital of Ukraine – Kyiv… With your donation, you are doing everything to help Irpin revive the city that kept the defense on the outskirts of the enemy to Kyiv," the Irpin Recovery Fund said on the page.
The project was created by NGO Foundation of Irpin Restoration and offers eight levels of financial support from $3 to $500 per month.
NGO Irpin Recovery Fund was established by the mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushyn, together with the chairman of the investment council of the city, Volodymyr Karpliuk, and the MP of Ukraine, Serhiy Taruta, in 2022 with the aim of attracting funding for the recovery of social and housing infrastructure destroyed due to Russian aggression.
The created site irpinhelp.com published systematized information about all the destroyed and damaged objects of Irpin, estimates for their restoration. In the same place, philanthropists will be able to choose for themselves the ways of helping the people of Irpin: transferring funds to the organization’s accounts, building materials and equipment, or "guardianship" over a specific object and restoring it on a "turnkey" basis.
