Invaders fleeing from Melitopol towards Crimea after active counteroffensive of Ukrainian Armed Forces – mayor Fedorov
KYIV. Sept 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupiers began to escape from the occupied Melitopol (Zaporizhia region) towards Crimea after the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, columns of military equipment were recorded at the checkpoint in Chonhar, mayor of the town Ivan Fedorov said.
"The are escaping from Melitopol towards temporarily occupied Crimea. Columns of military equipment have already been recorded at the checkpoint in Chonhar. It was expected – the rapid Ukrainian offensive leaves them no chance," Fedorov wrote on the Telegram channel on Tuesday evening.
According to him, the Russian military break into garages and steal civilian cars to export the loot from Zaporizhia region.
"Car owners should secure their vehicles in advance. After all, it may happen that ‘liberators’ will be evacuated on it," the mayor stressed.
