Invaders fire at Orikhiv with MLRS, local resident killed, six wounded – local authorities
KYIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Tuesday, Russian invaders fired at Orikhiv (Zaporizhia region) from multiple launch rocket systems, as a result of which one local resident was killed, and six more were injured, Head of Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh has said.
"Today, the town of Orikhiv came under massive shelling. The enemy fired multiple launch rocket systems for several hours. One local resident was killed," Starukh said in Telegram on Tuesday.
He said six people were injured as a result of the shelling, including three of them – employees of the energy company, who were restoring networks.
"As a result of an enemy attack, dozens of private houses and civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed. Fires broke out, which were extinguished by the rescuers of the State Emergency Service," Starukh said.
