Infrastructure Ministry: over UAH 1.5 bln will be allocated for tourism development in 2022

KYIV. Nov 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – More than UAH 1.5 billion will be allocated for the development of tourism in Ukraine in 2022, at the same time a program for creating tourism infrastructure in the national natural parks will start, the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure said.

According to the report, the funds will be used for the development of a single tourist navigation, the development of cycling tourism, the promotion of Ukraine in the international and domestic markets, the launch of new international flights, the creation and development of national natural parks.

"We have now begun work on a number of pilot projects to create new national natural parks. These will be comprehensive measures: from providing the parks with the most necessary things, including parking, transport infrastructure, places for recreation, camping sites, developing routes, to creating an identity for parks and launching promotional campaigns," Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov said.

According to the report, among the proposals of pilot projects are the national natural parks Sviati Hory, Podilski Tovtry, Karpatsky, Holosiyevsky, Skolevski Beskydy, Dzharylhachsky, Karpatsky Biosphere Reserve.

The launch and implementation of tourism infrastructure projects will be carried out by the Tourist Ukraine state enterprise created in October, which is subordinate to the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine. The head of the state enterprise is Serhiy Pokhodziayev.
