Increasing number of vaccinated people only way out of collapse with new wave of COVID-19 – Zelensky
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the only way out to overcome the new wave of coronavirus that has overtaken the whole world is vaccination.
"Today we are witnessing a powerful, really powerful wave of coronavirus, the Delta wave and the emergence of new strains. Every day there are anti-records all over the world, we are no exception … There is only one way out – vaccination. Increasing the percentage of vaccinated people is a way out of this collapse. Local leaders, I beg you, wake up and fall asleep, as they say, with this topic in your head," Zelensky said at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Odesa on Friday.
In turn, head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak said at a meeting of the Congress: "There are enough vaccines in Ukraine. And there are enough points for vaccination open."
At the same time, Yermak stressed that in some regions there are problems with the organization of the vaccination process of the population.
